Während Berlusconi das Medienmonopol inne hat, hat sich an den Rändern der italienischen Medienlandschaft ein Netzwerk von freien TV Stationen, Radios und Internetplattformen heraus gebildet. Sie fördern, verbreiten und ermöglichen den Zugang zu Informationen, die sonst nirgendwo gesendet werden. Sie dokumentieren und produzieren politische und mediale Interventionen. Orfeo TV, Telefabbrica, TeleImmagini, Gli Anelli Mancanti TV, Spegnilatv, NowarTV, TeleAUT, IsolaTV, Disco Volante TV, TeleMonteOrlando, TeleRobbinud, Telefermento, RosaGhettoTV, InsuTV, Telecitofono, Telecerini und viele andere verwandeln Kommunikation in eine wirkliche Alternative zum offiziellen Medienbetrieb Italiens. Telestreets schaffen eine Parallelrealität zum TV des Mainstream mit der Mission frische Information aus dem Untergrund an die Öffentlichkeit zu transportieren. Im Workshop wird den Teilnehmern gezeigt, wie man seinen eigenen Fernsehsender mit Hilfe von einfachen und billigen Mitteln, eine italienische Telestreet, aufbaut.

Federico Bucalossi – Nothuman (Florence, Italy)
Federico Bucalossi is an Italian artist with over 10 years experience in the field of multimedia art. He has a background as a multimedia artist, multimedia director, video art director, web designer, trainer and consultant. He is also member of the groups Strano Network (computer-internet Art), Yellowcake (Electronic performances for the label KK records, Belgium), Quinta Parete (Art Minimal TV). He also work in the fields of theatre, music, fashion and graphic design. As an artist he has a minimalist/reductionist approach to his works. Over the last 10 years he has sought to decrease the data and information in his art by using only black and white colors, simple shapes and clear social concepts.

Agnese Trocchi - Candida TV (Rome, Italy)
Candida TV is a small size media cooperative based in Rome and founded in 2001 with a focus on creative audio and video production. It was born from merging different activities: underground cinema, video production, rave parties, street theatre, independent radio, subversive computing and countercultural pop magazines. Activities of Candida include organization of events on communication technologies. Candida is also involved in running laboratories and workshops with young people to make them literate in contemporary audiovisual languages.

Alexandra Weltz, filmmaker (Berlin, D)
Author and director of a documentary for zdf/arte about Antonio Negri, lecturer for audio-visual production and producer of documentaries and fiction. She studied cultural studies, comparative literature and history in Berlin. Founder of the video collective 'ready made berlin', she organizes events on political activism and recently worked on the exhibition "Backjumps – The Live Issue" at Kunstraum Kreuzberg.
