We wanted to make an interactive video, this is the outcome: a small computer network enables people to surf all kinds of material relating to different topics. The main memory reads and processes people's choices. According to the results and to a random element, the main memory makes a selection among stored parts of the video. The sequence keeps changing thanks to the user's choices (and the user becomes part of the work). the net A lot of elements, some of them are true, some are false, falsely true, truly false, falsely false, farces, copies, thousands of elements marked by a semantic outcome which is real but not true. The way chosen by the user causes unpredictability: the black box processing is so complex and contingent that it steals any action we have just done. Technology, born from the struggle for survival which today we have to face again, amplifies the distance between action and reaction. Technology, idea of interpretation and discernment, calls out our blindness. the video The subject of the video is the normality of the last life- moments of a terrorist. Normal actions. Normal emotions. We thought of a terrorist because we saw people of action, killing other people and killing themselves. Are they just demons? The evidence shows people, their motivations and their lives.It is the everyday life we watch because it is something we identify: users will recognize it as well, it is a point of contact between us and them. Lots of symbols that can be read in different ways. A man still living. A man still deciding. The last days of a terrorist (?) the whole video is made of autonomous micro-sequences; in each of them the protagonist and the scenography are enough to themselves.
