In Germania è stata lanciata una Campagna urgente contro
la deportazione di una attivista politica camerunense, che rischia
di essere reimpatriata e che attualmente è detenuta in
un centro di permanenza temporanea per immigrati/e.
L'invito è ad inviare fax al Ministro dell'interno tedesco,
in cui si chiede di fermare la deportazione e di liberare Ngesi
Oginia Kuko, in accordo con la Convenzione di Ginevra per i/
rifugiati/e.
Ngesi Oginia Kuko, la Segretaria generale della sezione tedesca
del Consiglio nazionale del Sud del Camerun (SCNC) avrebbe dovuto
essere deportata il 17 febbraio 2003 da Francoforte, attraverso
Parigi, in Camerun. Questa deportazione è stata fermata.
Da allora la signora Ngesi Oginia Kuko è detenuta nel
centro di permanenza temporanea di Zweibrucken-Birkhausen, vicino
Saarbrucken,in Germania. E' in difficili condizioni psicologiche.
La sua deportazione può essere decisa ogni giorno.
Ngesi Oginia Kuko ha preso parte all'occupazione simbolica dell'Ambasciata
del Camerun a Bonn ed è stata attiva nella preparazione
e nell'organizzazione di molte iniziative locali ed internazionali
dell'opposizione in Germania al regime del Camerun e attiva nel
movimento di indipendenza del Sud del Camerun. Inoltre, ha sempre
lavorato in varie organizzazioni nell'informare l'opinione pubblica
tedesca ed europea sulla situazione dei diritti umani nel suo
paese.
Se deportata in Camerun, sarebbe accusata da un tribunale militare
di tradimento e separatismo. E' già stata molte volte
minacciata dalle autorità camerunensi.
Ciò significa per lei un grave e reale pericolo per la
sua vita e la sua salute, perché sarebbe sottoposta a
torture e ad un regime di detenzione a cui non potrebbe sopravvivere.

Stop the deportation of Ngesi Oginia Kuko
Dear Mr Zuber,
I was informed, that Mrs Ngesi Oginia Kuko is supposed to be
deported.
This information fills me with a lot of anxiety. Mrs Kuko is
now in the detention prison in Zweibrücken-Birkhausen.
In the interest of public and in the mind of the Geneva Refugees
Convention, I want to urgently ask you to protect Mrs Ngesi Oginia
Kuko from deportation and to release her from detention.
Mrs Kuko is Sectratory General of the german section of the oppositional
Southern Cameroon National Council (SCNC). She was part of the
symbolic occupation of the cameroonian embassy in Bonn. She is
an outstanding character of the independency movement of Southern
Cameroon.
In case of deportation there will be a direct threat to life
and health of Mrs Ngesi Oginia Kuko. In the reports of the anti-torture
commission of the UN one can read that Francophone Cameroon is
practicing torture regularly. In case of deportation Mrs Oginia
Kuko is expecting
Detention and torture, which she will not survive.
There is public interest for the presence of Mrs Ngesi Oginia
Kuko in Germany. She works in different organisations informing
the german and
european public of the situation of human rights in her home
country Cameroon. This is an important contribution to the democratic
process of
the creation of opinion in Germany and Europe.
I appeal to you to consider all these aspects and to stop the
deportation of Mrs Ngesi Oginia Kuko.
